Chinese Rolls // චයිනීස් රෝල්ස් // ரோல்ස්

A beloved Sri Lankan bakery "short-eat" consisting of spicy fish, meat, or vegetable filling wrapped in a thin pancake, breadcrumbed, and deep-fried until crisp.
Origin
Some believe that Sri Lankan Chinese rolls were inspired by Chinese spring rolls. However, their consistency appears to be nearly identical to the Indonesian kroket kentang, which itself may be derived from the Dutch kroket.
